Canada Law List: Directory for Canadian lawyers. Martindale Hubbell also has information on Canadian attorneys.
A.M. Best's Directory: Directory and ratings for insurance defense attorneys.
Chambers and Partners USA Directory: Ratings for attorneys that represent businesses and unions.
Thomson Legal Record: Generates a list of cases from WESTLAW which the attorney has been involved. Gives the name and date of the case only. Does not contain a lot of information regarding common pleas cases. You can also search for lawyers with experience in a particular court or subject area.
Daily Legal News Databases: To find out if an attorney is currently licensed in Ohio.
Attorney Information Search - Supreme Court of Ohio: Shows disciplinary information about attorneys
ABA - Directory of Lawyer Discipinary Agencies: Provides phone numbers and sometimes web addresses for lawyer disciplinary agencies in the fifty states.
National Lawyer Regulatory Databank: For a fee, one can search nationwide for disciplinary actions against an attorney.
Lawyer Referral and Information Services: Contact information for services registered with the Ohio Supreme Court.
Ohio State Legal Services Association: Public Law Library and Legal Services Directory.
Price's List of Lists: Professional Services: To find ranking lists of attorneys.
Where to Go For Legal Help in Cleveland: a list provided by the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Contact information for legal aid, ACLU, law school clinics and more.

A grievance can be filed with the Ohio Supreme Court, Office of Disciplinary Counsel or a certified grievance committee of a local bar association. See:
Ohio Supreme Court Office of Disciplinary Counsel: Filing a complaint against an attorney
If the bar association or Disciplinary Counsel finds probable cause of misconduct, the matter is referred to the Ohio Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court disciplines the attorney, this will be reported in the Ohio Official Reports. To find Ohio Supreme Court disciplinary cases since 1992, go to Supreme Court of Ohio.
